چکیده

Water-soluble phosphanes were tagged with a light-responding diazo group. Upon UV exposure, the diazo-isomerisation led to phosphane morphology change, resulting in an increase in the reaction rate of an aqueous palladium-catalysed cleavage reaction.

Cyclodextrin-grafted polymers functionalized with phosphanes: a new tool for aqueous organometallic catalysis

New cyclodextrin (CD)-grafted polymers functionalized with water-soluble phosphanes were synthesized in three steps starting from polyNAS. Once characterized by NMR spectroscopy and size-exclusion chromatography, they were used as additives in Rh-catalyzed hydroformylation of 1-hexadecene. The combined supramolecular and coordinating properties of these polymers allowed increasing the catalytic...

Phosphane-based cyclodextrins as mass transfer agents and ligands for aqueous organometallic catalysis.

The replacement of hazardous solvents and the utilization of catalytic processes are two key points of the green chemistry movement, so aqueous organometallic catalytic processes are of great interest in this context. Nevertheless, these processes require not only the use of water-soluble ligands such as phosphanes to solubilise the transition metals in water, but also the use of mass transfer ...

Impact of cyclodextrins on the behavior of amphiphilic ligands in aqueous organometallic catalysis

In this study, we showed that the addition of randomly modified β-cyclodextrin (RAME-β-CD) in aqueous medium could have a beneficial impact on the catalytic performances of phosphane-based aggregates in the Pd-catalyzed cleavage of allyl carbonates (Tsuji-Trost reaction). The RAME-β-CD/phosphane supramolecular interactions helped explain the catalytic results. The presence of RAME-β-CD in the a...

Photo-induced molecular-recognition-mediated adhesion of giant vesicles.

Few methods currently exist for controlling vesicle-vesicle adhesion. We now report a new system, based upon a multivalent guest and an amphiphilic receptor with a photo-isomerisable anchor that can be incorporated into lipid vesicles of different sizes. Large unilamellar vesicles containing our receptor were found to aggregate upon addition of the multivalent guest, independently of photoswitc...

Peptide catalysis in aqueous emulsions.

Amphiphilic tripeptides catalyze conjugate addition reactions of aldehydes to nitroolefins in water with high yields and stereoselectivities. The amphiphilic nature shields the peptidic catalyst from the water and stabilizes the emulsion formed by the reactants in the aqueous environment. The findings have intriguing implications for the chemical evolution of enzymes.
